before i can take you onto the journey i am running now, i must first take you back to this summer.
i had always planned on my children being in a christian school from the moment they were each born. but as the time approached for us to register our first born, reality sunk in. we would never be able to afford three children in private school. as much as i longed for it to be, there was just no way it would be possible.
but, it still weighed heavy on my heart. deep down, i knew that
with God, all things are possible.
one night when my husband walked in the door from his 60+ hour a week job,
i laid on him my heart, what God had laid on my heart...
i told him we would register our oldest son levi, and trust that God would take care of the rest.
mostly thinking that it would be my husbands job which would somehow make it attainable.
never, in a million years would i have possibly fathomed what God's plan would turn out to be...
but, i knew even then, that he had a plan.
two months later, practically kicking and screaming as i walked into the studio (i went only because my friend didn't want to go alone) would i find out just awesome God's plan would be.
half way through, i turned to my friend and said "i don't know about you, but i'm going to give this thing a try!)
i started my mary kay business the last week of september 2009.
knowing that i was neither a "sales person" nor what people would call "sociable".
it didn't take but a few weeks for me to realize that the possibilities with my mary kay business were only limited to what i was willing to put into it. all of a sudden the dreams for my family became bigger....
less hours for my husband having to work,
more fun vacations,
true quality family time because we are able to put it before our careers,
a new home that would fit our growing family...
and yes, the dream that started it all, a christian education for each one of my children.
i earned my first car with my mary kay business in november 2009, only two short months after i first began the journey.
and received my first commissions check in the middle of december...
$3,000 just before christmas is truly a blessing in and of itself.
i could sit here and say that mary kay has opened new doors for this family's life.
that it has somehow made it better.... because it has. but, i know that mary kay is only the tool that god has used to bless us beyond what we ever thought was possible.
and i am forever changed through it.
"He has done great things for us and we are filled with Joy"
