so fresh and so clean...

as far back as i can recall i have known myself to work with a very precise mind.

back in high school friends would come over and move things in my room to see if i would notice, and i ALWAYS did.

clothes hang in closets in a particular manner.
grocery lists are made at the beginning of the week and the menu is kept according to the plan.
certain laundry is done on the same days every week so there is never a question as to when something was washed last.

and there is no difference in the appointments i make.
be it hair, dr, or planned outing with friends.

they are first placed on my calendar so that i can see them clearly, and then a card is made and kept on my sun visor in the order of the up coming event. so somehow, if i miss one i will surely see the other.

and although i am often times teased about my precise manners, i am fully glad i do them the way i do them!
cause as i was driving the kids home from school on thursday i noted that they had dentist appoints the very next day. i hadn't put it on the calendar in my kitchen, so it was a relief to catch it on time. i remembered it was coming up, but didn't recall the exact time or date.

with that being said....
levi and alivia had their first dentist visits yesterday.
i hadn't planned on taking alivia, but when i called to schedule levis it dawned on me that he tends to be a little shy at new things. were as alivia is the stable of bravery. i figured if i could get her to go first levi would be a little less fearful. and while levi did in fact get a little shaken, i know he did a lot better then if it had just been him.

seeing as how i picked a specific pediatric dentist, the office and staff were very friendly. and almost had a way of making a trip to their office a fun activity. both kids did great, and their teeth look good too.
i was a little surprised to hear though that they really like to see kids before they turn two.....
but no harm done.

after, we met up with cousins and had an afternoon full of activity.
we took the kids to the ceramic paint place...
so, the girl who is always complaining to my friend that i can never find cute magnets now will have over 20 to choose from. too bad it wasn't till after our kids panted them that we noted the fact that they were 3.75 a piece!
i venture to say...
if you are a close friend, and you know my kids, you will be getting a lovely, hand painted magnet for your birthday this year!

we grabbed lunch at chick fil-a and spent the rest of the afternoon playing at their playground.
i really value the fact that kim and i get along so well, and that our kids know and really adore one another. it's nice to have family to play with sometimes.

i love surprising nights.
alyson always fines ways to light up my face.
and it usually is in ways one would never think.
i had been telling her how often i go through stain remover.
it's too often that my kids get their clothes dirty and ruin them with nasty stains after the first or second wear. a small price to pay for their adventure, i know, but bothersome non the less.

tonight as i was placing dinner on my table. low and behold alyson drove up after her trip to BJs. and in her hands was the most giant bottle of stain remover i have ever seen...
it will be some time before she hears my complaining again!

now i must run, as my children are anxiously awaiting todays adventures....
