big time...

it's finally happened....

that small town celebrity husband of mine has hit the big time!
well, the restaurant has anyway...

how? you ask...
well, the travel channel has a show called "man vs food". and they filmed their season opener today at the restaurant.
and of coarse the kids and i made our way down to catch a glimpse of all the lollapalooza and the host adam richman.

we watched in amazement at all the cameras, lights, and not to mention the tons of people it took to make the show happen.

yes, we have up graded from our local sarasota new networks (not that those aren't fabulous), and have managed to be known and able to be seen by the wide US nation!



levi and alivia weaseled their cute little faces into the act as well.
spooning mouths full of chocolate pie, eventually scooping it up with their hands as they were convinced by mr. richman. :P
and i do need to say how utterly well behaved they were sitting at a booth with nothing to keep them occupied but crayons and paper for the 2+ hours we were there. they both understood the rules, and kept quiet so the filming could progress. :)

it was great fun and very adventuresome. unfortunately, however, my evening was ended on a sour note when a customer in the restaurant asked me if "i was mary lou, brians mom?"....

in my defense she was anciently old.

so proud of this family and all they have accomplished through the loving grace of god!

ps...
prepare yourself for the "haystack block party" on air night sometime in august!

pss...
for those of you who don't know...
a "haystack" is a typical amish party food, and it is yummy!
just ask alyson, her and i crashed one of the amish parties at pinecraft park last winter! ;)
